Privacy Policy

The short version

Khai runs on your machine. Your emails, calendar events, files, and AI conversations never leave your computer and are never stored on our servers. We collect only what is strictly necessary to operate your account and bill you correctly.

1. Who we are

CoreElement Inc. ("CoreElement," "we," "us") operates the Khai product and the getkhai.com website. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data in connection with those services. Contact us at support@khai.bot.

2. What we collect

Account data. Your email address, hashed password, subscription tier, and billing status. Required to provide the service.

Billing data. Payment is handled by LemonSqueezy. We receive your subscription status and the last four digits of your card for display in your account dashboard. We do not store full card numbers.

Usage metrics. Anonymized, aggregated counts of skill invocations (for example: "weekly plan skill run 400 times today"). No content, no identifiers. Used to improve the product.

Website analytics. If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect standard web analytics (pages visited, session duration, rough geographic region). You can decline this at the cookie banner. It does not affect product functionality.

3. What we do not collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store your email content, calendar events, files, contacts, AI prompts, AI responses, or any other data processed by Khai locally on your machine. All AI computation happens between your computer and Anthropic's API using your own credentials.

4. How we use your data

We use your account data to provide, maintain, and improve the Services; process your subscription and send billing-related emails; respond to your support requests; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your data to third parties.

5. Cookies

Essential cookies. A session cookie to keep you logged in. Required. Cannot be declined without breaking login.

Analytics cookies (optional). GA4 cookies if you accept them at the banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing cookies and reloading.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, billing records we are required to keep for tax purposes, typically 7 years).

7. Third-party services

We use LemonSqueezy for billing (their privacy policy applies to payment data), Google Analytics for optional web analytics, and Hetzner for web hosting. We do not share your personal data with other third parties except as required by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@khai.bot. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Children

Khai is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced by email or in-account notice. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
